At the beginning of 2010, the School Governors One Stop Shop (SGOSS) approached Beaver Design with a brand new design concept they had created, for a new website they wanted to have built. As the main resource for would-be and serving school governor volunteers across England, the main aim was to make it up-to-date, easy to manage and feature the most relevant information for the volunteers, schools and local authorities who work with SGOSS.
“We decided our website needed an entire overhaul in terms of design, content and navigation. After a lot of work in-house over a number of months, we came up with a design we wanted and took it to Beaver for them to turn into an actual website.” - SGOSS
The website design was first done in-house at SGOSS, before being given to Beaver to turn it into a reality – in addition to building the new and more user friendly CMS to support the new site...
“Beaver also built a new and easier to use CMS for the site, which we have full control of, enabling us to add content where necessary and make any changes we need to and overall making such process a lot quicker.” - SGOSS

In Northamptonshire, the School Governors One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) chose Beaver to make a dedicated site with its own marketing campaign to promote the need for more school governors in the area.
The site features an editable vacancies list, so that SGOSS can add and remove available school governors’ positions. Beaver created SGOSS a simple CMS (content management system) to allow them to keep this updated.

The School Governors One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) have come together with A Local Lawyer In Every School (ALLIES) to help promote both organisations in the education sector. To help them to this, Beaver Design has created a mini site dedicated to the SGOSS and ALLIES goals - aiming to help bring more lawyers in to become school governors.
The site sits within the main SGOSS site and acts as another portal to help lawyers become school governors in their local area. Beaver Design also provides SGOSS with e-marketing services, helping them to reach more people and promote their school governors positions.

The School Governors’ One-Stop Shop (SGOSS) “Fresh Faces” website was a finalist in the Third Sector Excellence Awards 2008. The website, design by Beaver Design, was shortlisted amongst some strong competition, but was beaten by Leonard Cheshire Disability.
The Third Sector Excellence Awards are intended to recognize and celebrate the vital work done by the voluntary sector and the role they play “as the conscience of society”.

A recent request from Moss Bury Primary School and Nursery in Stevenage saw Beaver Design back at school for a few days photographing for the new prospectus.
The design for the new 26 page prospectus features images of pupils and staff, both at work and play as well as providing all the vital school information needed by prospective parents.
Beaver is proud to be chosen to provide design work to another local educational institution.
