Last Thursday, Beaver Design was announced as a finalist company for Best Business Website at the gala ceremony of the Hertfordshire Business Awards 2010. Beaver Design was nominated in favour of a large number of other entries, for the creation of the Beaver Group website which features cutting-edge web design techniques and content.

Today, St Andrew Street in Hertford launches their new website - designed and developed by Beaver Design!

For the last few months, Beaver Design has been working very closely with the businesses of St Andrew Street to create a new website for the whole street. The result is a site which features news, lots of pictures and videos - all with the aim of engaging with customers and showcasing the range of quality independent shops on the street.

All the designs, logos and layouts on the site were created in-house by Beaver Design. In addition, Beaver Design provided some photography services for the street, as well as videos provided by Ware-based Media 14

As well as designing and managing the site, Beaver Design is also working closely withe street to improve their presence on social networking tools such as Facebook and Twitter. With so many people using these services, St Andrew Street identified a need to be a part of it and engage online.

The biannual Beaver Challenge Trophy football tournament is back and this year we're raising money for the voluntary funded Stapleford Primary School.

We're looking for teams and individuals to join us for some friendly five-a-side games of football, with the chance of winning the coveted Beaver Challenge Trophy - as well as several smaller trophies for individual players.

Last Wednesday, Beaver Design went to the HBI Business Expo at the Galleria, Hatfield. This is the second time Beaver Design has exhibitied at one of these Business Expos (you can read about our previous time here) and it was great to meet and talk with so many businesses from the local area.

We were pleased to see so many start-up businesses and get a chance to talk about the need for strong branding, quality marketing materials and of course, good website design.
